Developed by Gary Clark in 1978, Petron Plus Formula 7 products are an innovation in specialty chemicals and lubricants. The first years of the company's existence was spent on conducting extensive research and product development, market testing and pursuing patent protection. In 1985 we acquired a U.S. Patent for Petron Plus Formula 7 products and the technological manufacturing process. Today we use that same technology plus improvements to the original technology. With new formulations over the years we have evolved to having over 450 products. In 2025 the business was passed along to the next generation with Craig and Annette Engweiler now carrying on the Petron Plus tradition.
